I've got the MAGIC in ME

So this is officially my first blog about work itself....what can I say...it is absolutely magical. I am able to bring so much joy into so many peoples lives everyday! I cannot believe I get to call this job work. It has been so much fun!! I get to play with people of all ages everyday and I cannot express how fun it is :) I've had my first encounter with a child from Make-A-Wish which was one of the best feelings. You might be thinking that it was extremely sad but it wasn't. It was such an incredibly happy moment. For me, the child, and the parents. To be able to see a child smile from ear to ear and leave with a magical memory that they will never forget was the best feeling. A feeling I cannot even explain. I've spent time with couples on their honeymoon or celebrating anniversaries, birthdays, family reunions, even families just visiting Disney World because it's the most magical place on earth...it really is a BLAST!

On my first night of work Friday, August 23 I got to hang out with the sassy little duck...Daisy Duck! She is such a cutie! I also got to watch the Wishes firework show at Magic Kingdom with Donald Duck, Goofy and Minnie Mouse as I held a little girls hand that was so adorable in a Minnie Mouse dress. I will NEVER forget that moment. That night I cried while watching Wishes because I just stood there so thankful and blessed to have this opportunity. The opportunity to live MY DREAM.

 I still cannot believe that this is real life sometimes. I would have never thought in a million years that my dream would come true...but it did! All I can say is....WOW. Thank you Lord for all the blessing you have given me. My first night of work was definitely the most magical experience!

Since then I have spent so much time in the parks with different Disney characters :) I've hang out with Minnie Mouse, Vanellope, and of course the boss man himself Mickey Mouse. Hanging out with all these characters at so many different parks is just AWESOME! There is never a dull moment when spending time with them.

Thursday, August 29. I finally got to hang out with Vanellope!!! She was picking on Ralph the whole time! lol She is SO ADORABLE!!!!

 

 

Friday, August 30 I hung out with Minnie Mouse. She wore her GORGEOUS pink dress and trained those cute little poodles that reminded me of my Cookie of course :) At the end of the night the whole gang joined together and I was able to snap a picture of the fab 4!

I did have half a day to go to Hollywood Studios on Saturday, August 24 with my roomie. It was a short day at the park but we had a great time. Went to 2 shows and then went to a drawing class and drew Woody! :) We cannot wait to go back and draw some more characters.

Our housing program has events for us from time to time and this past event on August 28 was a Monstrous event! Although I worked that night and only made it to the festivities for the last hour Courtney and I were able to do scary feet with this big guy

We even scared twins in a bunk a bed :)

Then, on Friday, August 29 I didn't go into work until later in the afternoon so I packed up a lunch and headed to Magic Kingdom early. I had so much fun just soaking it all in. I don't think I can ever get enough of this beautiful place.

Saw so many characters in the parade but I don't want to post too many pics bc my family is coming soon and I want it to be a surprise! Tehehehe but I will someday.

 

So as you can see my job is AWESOME!!!! I cannot wait to make many more memories here in Orlando, Florida! Until next time....

Welcome to Entertainment!!!

This last week I have been extremely busy because I have been training to be part of the entertainment family at Walt Disney World. I have had early mornings and long days...but it has all been so much fun and worth every second. My job is so magical and I feel so blessed to be able to have this opportunity. On Thursday, August 22 I was able to hang out with Mickey Mouse :) It was such a great day!! Then, on August 23 I got to spend time with Minnie Mouse. She is one sweet mouse. Those two mice together are absolutely adorable. I also got to spend time with a bunch of other Disney characters...Here they are:

 

Such a magical day!! A day I will never forget :) XOXO

 

I have been so busy that I haven't been able to tell my  family and friends how much I miss them. I am having the experience of a lifetime here and have already made some great friends. It really is awesome! But, I have been super busy and I haven't been able to talk to my family and friends as much as I would like to so I just want y'all to know that I miss every single one of you and miss you all tremendously. I have some family coming to visit and I CANNOT WAIT!!! :D I know I don't say this enough but I love you all so much. I want to thank my family and friends for supporting me through this magical journey. I could not have come this far without y'all. I'll continue to keep y'all posted so just keep reading my blogs, checking my facebook page or pics, and of course text or call me whenever you please :)

 

 I also love to hear about what is happening in y'alls lives as well. Which by the way...my baby nephew is now eating food!!! I've gotten videos and pics and it's the cutest thing I've ever seen!!!

 

and...my sissy got a job teaching 2nd grade. She is so awesome and I am so proud of her. I've also been able to talk to my brother, mommy and daddy almost everyday! So keep sharing y'all's lives and good news with me!! I love to hear all about it. Makes me feel like I'm still home.

 

I'm sure some are wondering how my and fiancé and I are handling being 990 miles away...well I am pleased to announce...PERFECT :) We talk everyday, facetime often, and continue to share our lives together like we always do. He is doing such amazing things for Monster and I am so proud of him. I love him so much and am so thankful for the strong supportive, caring and loving relationship that we have.  

 

So...with all that said...

 

 I hope things are FABULOUS in TEXAS. Love and miss y'all oodles!!!

My 1st weekend :)

Before the weekend began I had work. Well this is me working ;)

Best day of work I've EVER had in my life! I cried my little eyes out. With happy magical tears of course :)

Then before the weekend began my roommates and I  decided to go to Magic Kingdom to ride a few rides and have a Mickey sweet treat. We stopped at the Confectionary on Main Street and got a apple pie candy apple. It was as good as it looks :-)

This weekend I was off so of course just like any day...I went to the parks. My roomates and I spent Saturday, August 17 at Animal Kingdom during the day. We had so much fun. I hadn't been to Animal Kingdom in years so I was so excited to spend the day there. We watched shows and rode some rides. One of my favorite shows at Animal Kingdom would have to be "The festival of the Lion King." It is a MUST SEE.

As most of you know I am terrified of roller coasters but of course with some peer pressure my roommates got me to ride Mt. Everest. I was shakin in my boots it was sooo scary! But I over came my fears and I rode it!!! It was so much FUN!! YOLO right ;)

After a fun day at Animal Kingdom we packed on up and headed over to Hollywood Studios for the evening. We watched some shows :) then it was time for FANTASMIC!!! INCREDIBLE!!! Definitely a LONG day but sooo worth it.

Sunday morning I woke up and felt SUPER rested. I did some things around the apartment and got ready to head to Hollywood Studios to meet up with my friend Becca :) We also met up with Jake!

 

It was a great weekend off and tomorrow I start training!!! EEEEKKK!

Once upon a time is NOW...

Well...I finally arrived in Orlando, Florida! Sunday, August 11, 2013. AAAHHHH!! It's so weird.

When I arrived my sister, Jessie and her dad picked me up from the airport. It was SO nice to see a familiar face in Florida after such an emotional morning. We went to the hotel and then headed to DOWTOWN DISNEY for lunch!!

We ate at Wolfgang Puck for lunch at Downtown Disney and I had a pasto chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries...it was so yummy!

After lunch we just walked around and looked at ALL the stores to see EVERYTHING we want to purchase. Then the most magical thing happened...I ran into a fairy godmother and she asked if I wanted some Pixie Dust. Of course I said, YES!!!!!!!! :D

All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of Pixie Dust

Later that evening we went over to the Polynesian Resort to sit in the sand and watch WISHES...it was so magical! First night in Florida was definitely a success!!!

 

The next day, Monday, August 12, 2013 was CHECK-IN!! I cannot believe it finally came!

First we received a name tag and of course I was excited! lol

My roomie & I finally met and took our 1st picture together!!!

Then I received my housing ID: Patterson Court! Feel free to text or message me if you want my address ;) wink wink! lol I seriously cannot wait to get mail!!!!

 

Got to go through Casting!! For Disney Cast Members ONLY!! :) Buuuttt..I was able to take a pic of the beautiful Alice in Wonderland door knobs :) I want these on my home! cough cough *Vince* tehehehe

After our SUPER LONG morning Jessie's parents took us to have an AMAZING lunch at Bahama Breeze. It was DELICIOUS! Jessie and her parents helped me so much this week and I am so thankful for all they did for me. They are such wonderful people and I am so glad God put them in my life. Thanks again Benoit's :) for being absolutely awesome :)

While doing lots of unpacking I came across another note from my one & only :D always making me smile!! I'm such a lucky girl to have the most amazing prince in my life.

 

Since I finally had some free time I finally got to FACETIME my family! :) So great to SEE them. Thank goodness for technology.

The next day, Tuesday, August 13, 2013 began with a housing meeting. It was so FUN!!! and of course I cried...this is just so exciting! 

 

Later that night my roomies and I had our 1st roomie date night. First we went to see our Disney friend practice for anti-gravity!! It was LEGIT and he is AMAZING!!! Then...we had Italian night :) followed by movie night. Of course we had to watch a Disney movie. We chose Cinderella!!! I'm so lucky I got paired with the best roomies. They are AWESOME!!!

 

The next day, Wednesday, August 14, 2013 I spent with my roomie roomie and her family. I finally got to meet her mom :) She is so sweet. We went to eat Habachi at Robata...of course it was yummy and a great show. I ate steak & chicken...NOMS!! Great day with my rooms :)

 

 

Thursday, August 15, 2013 was my first official day of work for the best company there is :)!! First we arrived at Disney University for our Traditions class...best thing ever!!! It was so awesome!!

 

I'M OFFICIAL!!! brought by Mickey Mouse himself :)

 

 

After Traditions today we had our first housing event...Woody's Roundup! So much fun!!! They had cowboy hats for us, hot dogs, chips, drinks and music :) So COOL!

 

And of course...Jessie and Bullseye were there too!!!!! I was EXTREMELY EXCITED!!!!!!!
